Chattanooga Area Food Bank (Amnicola Highway)
Young Marines will participate in a Community Service Project at the Chattanooga Food Bank. Please arrive at 0900 in the Food Bank Parking Lot.
Registered Adults will transport Young Marines to the drill hall at 1100.
Young Marines should bring Chow.
This day will replace our regularly scheduled drill that was cancelled on January 4th due to the Holidays. Be prepared for Inspection.

Chattanooga National Cemetery 12 Bailey Avenue, Chattanooga
Mandatory Safety briefing begins at 1000, arrive no later than 0945
Full uniform with white T-shirt. Unit will supply field jackets. Young Marines should bring black gloves in the event of cold weather.
Ceremony will be held at the Veterans pavilion on the South West side of the cemetery.
This is a Community Service Project.
Line up begins at 1600, parade start time 1800.
Young Marines will meet at Miller Park at the corner of Market Street and M.L. King Blvd. Parent or guardian must sign the Young Marine Sign in/out sheet when dropping off Young Marines.
The street will be blocked off, you will have to park on an adjacent street and walk your Young Marine to a Registered Adult that has the sign in/out sheet.
Wear full uniform with white T-shirt. Unit will provide a field jacket. Young Marines may wear black gloves (not provided by Unit)
Parade ends on the left side of the Aquarium. Please arrange to pick you your Young Marine there. Parent/Guardian must sign out your Young Marine.
PFC’s wanting to attend JLS this summer must do 3 things before December 31st.
1.) Perform 50 hours of Community Service between 1 October 2013 and 31 December 2013
2.) Take and pass the LCpl test
3.) Stand before a promotion Board
Once a Young Marine PFC has completed their 50 hours you may contact Mr. Hamilton to make arrangements to take the LCpl test. If the Young Marine has completed 50 hours and passed the LCpl test you may contact Mr. Hamilton to make arrangements to stand before a promotion Board.
Young Marines will be meeting at Urban Rocks at 0930. We will climb for a couple of hours and will attend a knot tying class and climbing basics class. Young Marines must have a signed waiver in order to enter the climbing facility. Registered Adults will transport Young Marines to the drill hall at 1200. It is the 1st drill of the month; therefore, Young Marines should come prepared for an inspection. All Young Marines are required to bring chow. Drill concludes at 1500.
